Drew's career has included completing award-winning projects for a diverse portfolio of private and public clients, including work in New York, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong.
Drew Pedrick was born in Pennsylvania, grew up in New Orleans, finished his primary education in Pennsylvania, completed secondary work in architecture and engineering at the University of Leeds, UK, and began his career as a lighting designer and architect at the New York firm that had been his grandfather's. Today, with many life experiences, including 40+ years in design and architecture, he lives and works on the Pacific Coast of Los Angeles.
Drew has worked for firms ranging from small studios to global corporations. Twice in his life, he established design practices, first in Connecticut and then in Los Angeles. In 2011, Drew founded MCTIGUE, a studio focusing on conscious architecture, design, and planning with team members in 3 US states and 4 countries. The firm is a collaboration of talented people and builds on collective expertise in private and public projects of all sizes in the US and abroad. Drew also has been an advisor for civic and national clients.
Several professional publications have featured Drew's work. He has been a juror for excellence in planning and design awards and continues his devotion to university guest lectures and crit sessions. He is active in sustainable planning and design issues and has been a member of the American Institute of Architects Committee on the Environment. Drew views his professional life as an opportunity to create rational, provocative, and enduring places with conscious approaches and sustainable, resilient methods.
